Sprayers are specialized agricultural machines used for distributing fertilizers and other substances on the field. Solenoid valves were used for a newly developed motorized sprayer ranges. Such valves are characterized by compact dimensions in combination with low power ratings.

For this outdoor application, KUHNKE decided to use solenoid valves with IP20 rating from its modular product range. These valves guarantee the required resistance against adverse weather conditions. They also feature extremely compact design, since any 3/2-way function only requires the space of one valve. This allows reducing the space needed for valve assemblies to an absolute minimum. In addition, a modular mounting plate offers absolute flexibility as to the number of valves needed for a specific application.
